Artists Statement

My influences come from the environment, forms that can be found in nature, such as insects, landscape, plants and flowers, especially when seen through the lens of a microscope. In these images I look for ways to translate them into jewellery uniting sensuous shapes with the vibrancy of coloured enamel surfaces. Designs are drawn and edited before being produced into striking contemporary silver jewellery items or etched/enamelled copper plaques.

I have a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Crafts from Brighton University and work from my studio near Newhaven, East Sussex.
